


DWQ Awarded NEA Grant
We are pleased to announce that the Dorian Wind Quintet has been awarded a $12,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This grant was presented under the Heritage and Preservation category of funding and will help offset costs of our planned archival recording covering the group's history.

Dorian Quintet Plans Archival Recording
Documenting forty years of Dorian Wind Quintet performances, the proposed recording will also include the
"Anniversary Variations on a Theme of Reicha" written by five distinguished
composers who were commissioned by the group in celebration of our fortieth
anniversary. But we need your help...

Jane Taylor Retires From Dorian
After 40 years of dedicated service, founding member Jane Taylor has decided to retire from The
Dorian Wind Quintet. Her last performance was broadcast on NPR in April, 2002 and can be heard via link from this website.

Dorian Quintet's New Bassoonist
The Dorian Wind Quintet is pleased to welcome bassoonist Ethan Bauch.
Ethan replaces Jane Taylor, a founding member
of the Dorian Wind Quintet,
who retired from the group in April, 2002.
